Bargehouse at the Oxo Tower Wharf.

Last night I attended a private viewing of the inaugural edition of ch_ers :), an exhibition featuring up and coming Chinese artists and designers in London. It was held in the Bargehouse (pictured above), a huge, old warehouse in the Oxo Tower Wharf, and featured paintings, sculptures, media, and a fashion show. I was originally supposed to be a part of the latter, but I missed the fitting and rehearsal because I had French class (yes, I do go to school, some days!). Anyway, as a consolation, I did receive free tickets to attend the event, which was amazing. Continue reading

Kraków, Kochający*

I have loads of photos and stories from Braunwald in my vault, but I’m going to take a detour and cover my trip to Krakow. Alicia, one of my housemates from Trois-Rivières, met me Thursday afternoon on the last leg of her month-long stay in Poland. Four days later, and I completely understood her desire to return every year. Krakow is beautiful, historically rich, and filled with nice, nice people. I’m going to try to convey my impressions as best as I can, but I really suggest that if you get the chance, dear reader, that you hop on a train/plane/bus and give this place a visit. Phew, am I ever busy these days. I came home to London around supper time on Monday, after spending the day in Zurich. I have collected some great pictures and I have some post ideas, but no time right now to bang anything out!
