Hyde in Plain Sight

I live about five minutes north of Hyde Park, the largest park in central London (a city which is dotted with parks and parkettes almost everywhere). Take a look at the park’s map: it boasts a huge water feature and several individual gardens. It’s much like Central Park in Manhattan, a huge expanse of green in the middle of a bustling city. I was right in the centre, around the Serpentine, and I might as well have been in the gardens of a private house, it was so devoid of city noise. Continue reading
